Attendance matters. Research indicates that as early as kindergarten, students who miss too many days of school are at risk for lower academic performance. By 6th grade, chronic absence is a clear predictor of dropout.
This one-hour webinar will provide practical examples from schools and classrooms across the country that have effectively changed the attendance trajectories of their students, boosting their engagement and academic success. Participants will learn how to design a multi-tiered approach to build a culture of attendance, preventing as many attendance concerns as possible, as well as how to design layers of intervention for students with resistant absenteeism concerns.
