•••Professional Experience

Jeremy Resnick began his career in education as a high school English teacher in his hometown in Southern California. After moving to Texas, he continued teaching in the classroom while also obtaining his administrative credential.  Since then, he has been a high school administrator, elementary school principal, and district-level administrator.  As an elementary school principal, Jeremy was charged with introducing the CHAMPS approach to his school. The school saw great success with the implementation and eventually became a spotlight school for Safe & Civil Schools.

Upon returning to California, he also worked for the County Office of Education as Director, Curriculum and Instruction, where he provided support and professional development on a wide variety of topics such as MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports), Universal Design for Learning, and CHAMPS and Foundations implementation.  It was in this role that Jeremy contributed a section to the third edition of CHAMPS on equity in grading practices.

Most recently, he served a school district as the Senior Director of Equity and Instructional Services, where he was able to combine his passion for meaningful and impactful learning experiences for all students with an unwavering commitment to calling attention to and fostering a data-informed focus on historically marginalized and underserved and marginalized students and communities.
